Michael R. Cozzetta, O.D.
Michael R. Cozzetta, O.D., founded Southern Colorado Eye Care Associates in 1989. He is a Pueblo native and graduate of Pueblo East High School in 1980. He received a chemistry degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1983. In 1987, he received his doctorate while graduating with honors from the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Cozzetta has extensive knowledge of pre and post-operative management of refractive surgery, cataracts, and glaucoma. His practice specializes in family eye care and therapeutic eye care.
He maintains membership in both the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Cozzetta prides himself on providing eye care for all of your needs.
Community involvement includes a 30 year membership in the Lions Club of Pueblo, including being awarded as the Lion of the Year in 2001. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at East High School in 2002.
Dr. Cozzetta enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an avid fly fisherman. He travels frequently to any place there is water and fish.
Domenic Cozzetta, O.D.
Dr. Domenic is a 2019 graduate of Midwestern College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder in mathematics.
When not in the office, you might see him on the soccer field or with friends enjoying a slopper.
Domenic may look or sound familiar as he is our own Dr. Michael Cozzetta's son. Excited to be joining his father in practice and back in his hometown, Domenic looks forward to continuing the excellent care SCECA is known for!
Jessica Ruxton, O.D.
Dr. Jessica Ruxton is a board certified optometrist. She graduated from the Arizona College of Optometry, where she discovered her passion for providing eye care to children. After graduation, she completed a residency in Pediatrics and has now made Pueblo her home.
In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for the Pueblo Charter Lions Club, running, and reading. Dr. Ruxton is honored to be a part of Southern Colorado Eye Care Associates and serving patients in her community.
